Dear Friends,
Let me start by saying we would love to have you come worship with us.   With COVID hopefully coming to an end we are still providing masks and sanitizer for those who come.  We like many other churches have taken a hit on attendance.  Some people have gotten use to watching on their electronic devises and stopped coming.   We however are still commanded to do the great commission and that is where you come in.  We need people to join us in the war against sin and  God’s plan to redeem the lost.  I’d  like to take a moment to welcome you and to introduce you to First Baptist Church of Alturas FL.  We desire our worship services to allow everyone the opportunity to have an encounter with our risen Lord Jesus Christ through worship, praise, preaching and the studying of God’s Word. We preach and teach the whole truth of God’s Word.  We want our outreach and mission’s to give people the chance to be involved in leading people to Christ in our community, state, nation and the world through prayer, the use of their time, talents, and financial resources. We try to reach people where they are, meeting their real needs, both spiritual and physical. That is why we have a food pantry to help feed those family in our communities who need a little food each month.
We want to assist people of all ages in their walk of spiritual growth by offering opportunities for Bible study, discipleship, Christian fellowship, and ministry to our community and one another. We are a family of believers who care about the whole person and their walk with the Lord. I would like to invite you to come and join us for worship this Sunday or Wednesday. As you come and worship with us, our prayer for you is that you sense the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. We want you to feel the warmth of our family and fellowship. It’s like being home!
